University of Rochester School of Nursing Honors Lee Foundation
The University of Rochester School of Nursing selected the Lee Foundation to receive the John N. Wilder Award. The award, named for the first president of the University’s Board of Trustees, recognizes an individual, family or foundation for their outstanding philanthropic leadership.
In 2019, to address the mental health workforce shortage, the Lee Foundation awarded $217,500 to the School of Nursing to create scholarships for students enrolled in the Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program. The grant funds were matched dollar for dollar by the School of Nursing and were designated for individuals from Western New York.
